A GUINNESS RECORD FOR ARMIN HOLZER & CARRERA
CARRERA is proud to celebrate the freerider Armin Holzer and his new incredible record: a slackline at nearly 5000m above the sea level, the highest ever done.
Armin left from Italy to China the 9th of June, with the purpose of establishing a new record on the second mountain of Pamir: the Muztaghata peak. His team was composed by Alessandro d’Emilia, Massimo Braconi, Davide Cusini, Tamara Lunger and Paul Augscheller.
During the path to Muztaghata’s slackline he had to face lot of obstacles: the hard climb to reach the camp located between China and Pakistan, the naturalization to the rigid temperatures and, last but not least, the rock situation at that altitude, which makes almost impossible to find the right location where to place the slackline.
However Armin and his team found the way to hook the slack to the rocks: they walked for 20m at 4950m of altitude. Mission completed, it’s a new Guinness World Record.
The team in fact asked to the GWR commission the certification of their amazing venture as a new Record.
During the slackline Armin was wearing the Carrera C-City Blue Iridescent Matte, with a category 4 lenses.
