BYGGMARK’S BIG RETURN
Jens Byggmark got the fourth big placement for the Carrera ski racing team at Garmisch World Championships: a wonderful second silver medal in the final slalom.
Byggmark skied himself into a medal with an impressive performance on the second run having been sixth fastest in the morning. It was an incredible return, after some years in black and white, which followed the amazing season of 2007.
"I didn't really worry (about conditions)," said the Swede "I just thought on the top it felt really easy to ski, actually. It's an amazing feeling, you can't believe it. I've been struggling so hard since 2008."
Great performance came also from Mario Matt, who was really far from the first places at the end of the first run, but got the fourth place at the end, thanks to the best manche time in the second half.
After these amazing results, we are now looking for the last World Cup races, the last of which will be in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, at the end of March.
