CARRERA & KATUSHA’S NEXT CHALLENGE: THE YELLOW JERSEY
After a great “Giro d’Italia”, Carrera and Katusha Team are ready for the next big challenge: the Tour de France. The most important race of the year is at its 99th edition and, as tradition, it will be one of the most spectacular sporting event of the year.
Starting from Liege (Belgium) on Saturday, the first stage will be 6 kilometers long time trial prologue that will decide the first yellow jersey. 3479 kilometers will follow, with two 50 kilometers time trial stages, five high mountains ones and the classic last stage, on July 22nd, from Rambouillet to Champs Elysees in Paris, where the winner will be celebrated.Katusha is ready with two of its best riders: Denis Menchov (RUS) and Oscar Freire (SPA). The new ITT Russian Champion is ready to fight for the overall ranking, while the three times World Champion will sprint to collect as many single stages as he can.
