FIRST COMPETITION, FIRST CARRERA MEDALS!
Two Carrera medals opened Vancouver games!
Great start for the Carrera team of ski jumping, which gained the first and third places in the opening competition of the games. Simon Ammann, Swiss champion at his third olympic gold medal, jumped on the highest step of the podium. Nicknamed “Harry Potter” for his resemblance to the young wizard (and more and more for his magics as well) Simon overtook his rivals in both the rounds of the NH Individual competition.
After the second place Adam Malysz, here’s another Carrera champion clinching the bronze medal: Gregor Schlierenzauer.
Good performance for the rest of the team Carrera too: Thomas Morgenstern and Wolfgang Loitzl rank respectively at the 8th and 11th place.
Next appointment with the Carrera athletes this afternoon, with the Downhill race (postponed after last Saturday’s bad weather conditions)
