Elisabeth Görgl
After winning a bronze medal in the Special Slalom race in the 1999 Juniores World Champion, she dubuted in the World Cup on March 10th 2000 in Sestriere, in the same discipline.
Elisabeth gained her first World Cup podium on January 5th, 2003 in Bormio's Slalom, getting the second place. In the same year she conquered the Europe Cup.
During the XX Winter Olympic Games she attended the Downhill race, but she didn't finish it.
On January 12th 2008 she won her first World Cup competition (the Giant Slalom in Maribor, Slovenia), while in 2009 she conquered a bronze medal in the Super Combined during the Val d'Isere World Cup. Finally this year she gained a gold, a silver and a bronze in the Super G and Super Combined events.
Moreover, in the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games Elisabeth got two bronze medals: the first in the Downhill race, right after the US athletes Lindsay Vonn and Julia Mancuso; and the second in the Giant behind Viktoria Rebensburg and Tina Maze.
