During the Juniores World Championships he won three medals: gold and silver respectively in 2003 and 2002 in the Slalom event; bronze in 2003 in the Downhill.

He debuted in the Alpine Ski World Cup in 2003, Kranjska Gora.

He conquered his first podium in the World Cup on November 30th 2006 in Beavre Creek's Super Combined: he gained the second place.

On January 7th 2007 he won his first race in World Cup. It was the Slalom event in Adelboden. He started with the bib number 60, in the 27th position in the first run. He kept the best time during the entire second run. The male team hadn't won a World Cup competition since January 30th 2004, when Didier Cuche won the Downhill event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

During 2007 Alpine Ski World Cup he won two bronze medals, in the Super Combined and in the team competition.
