ZERO LENS TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to the in-house R&D department, Carrera presents the Zero Resistance Lens. Developed through close collaboration with our top athletes, the Zero Resistance Lens notably reduces air resistance and turbulence, guaranteeing the best CX available whilst in turn ensuring that the goggle remains fog free.

Carrera’s patented Seal Ring System eliminates lens delamination, the number one cause of fogging. It also maintains a constant spacing between the lenses, thus avoiding optical distortion.

There are a number of ventilation options across the Carrera range, both active and static. All goggles within the range employ frame based ventilation coupled with either a regulated or forced airflow system, this allows for the customization of the airflow and temperature within the goggle.

The GPS lens tint can be utilized on bright days where glare is very high, in the past this was rectified by utilizing strong tinted lens but this has the disadvantage of distorting the perceived image. The GPS lens tint alleviates this and provides the user with a greater perception of their surroundings.

Polarization is a performance advantage in any sports application. Polarization shields the retina from glare, and increases both color perception and visual acuity.

A silicon coating is applied by liquid immersion and then hardened through UV Radiation. This increases the impact strength and scratch resistance of all Carrera lenses.

ANTI-FOG TREATMENT All Carrera lenses are coated with a specific anti-fog treatment that makes the lenses  hydrophobic, reducing the lens humidity absorption. Our lenses resist fogging three times longer than the standard requirements.
